Social Good Moms

Paula, the creator of Smile Play Learn, is a very proud member of Mom Bloggers for Social Good - a Global Coalition of Mothers Who Care. Paula and Smile Play Learn wholeheartedly support all Social Good Moms' partners, including:
  • Girl Up  Innovative campaign of the United Nations Foundation which gives American girls the opportunity to become global leaders and channel their energy and compassion to raise awareness and funds for United Nations programs that help some of the world’s hardest-to-reach adolescent girls.
  • KaBOOM! National non-profit dedicated to saving play for America's children. Its mission is to create great playspaces through the participation and leadership of communities. Ultimately, KaBOOM! envisios a place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
  • Maternity Worldwide Non-profit organization which works in partnership with local communities in Sub-Saharan Africa  to increase access to high quality maternal health care. 
  • More Than Me Foundation which helps little girls from one of the poorest slums in the world get off the street and into school in Liberia, West Africa.
  • mothers2mothers Organization which works to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV and sustain the long term health of women and children.  
  • Pratham USA Nonprofit organization and the fundraising arm of the largest education-based NGO in India, which aims to not only place all children in school, but to make sure that they are learning well.  
  • Super Stars Literacy Organization providing at-risk Kindergarten through 2nd grade students with daily, after-school literacy instruction which enables them to reach grade-level reading ability by the end of 2nd grade.  
  • Worldwide Fistula Fund Not-for-profit public charity that provides medical treatment for women suffering from obstetric fistula in sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Jumpstart National early education organization that helps children from low-income neighborhoods develop the language and literacy skills they need to be successful in school.
  • Healthy Child Healthy World Empowers parents to protect children from harmful chemicals.
  • Toys for Tots Foundation Deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters to assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Founded 50 years ago, the National Children's Center, Inc. (NCC) is a recognized leader in providing comprehensive and innovative services for children and adults with developmental disabilities in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Donations play an important role in fulfilling NCC’s mission.
